Regular Season Round 25: Derby - Igokea 111-109

There was a surprise result when eleventh ranked MontenegrinDerby (10-15) edged higher ranked Bosnian Igokea (17-9) in Podgorica 111-109 on Sunday. Derby made 20-of-22 free shots (90.9 percent) during the game. Derby had a 19-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Center Zoran Nikolic (212-1996) nailed a double-double by scoring 22 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and American point guard Erick Neal (178-1995, college: UT Arlington) accounted for 26 points and 6 assists (made all of his seven free throws). Neal is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Derby's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American point guard Bryce Jones (183-1994, college: Murray St.) came up with 27 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and Serbian Dragan Milosavljevic (198-1989) added 18 points respectively for Igokea in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Derby have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain eleventh place with 10-15 record. Defending Bosnian champion Igokea keeps the fifth position with nine games lost.
